Learning Disabilities
We collaborate with a wide range of organizations dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages who have learning disabilities. Given the diverse nature of learning disabilities and their impact across various life stages, it is crucial for us to ensure that our staff are thoroughly trained. This training covers not only the different types of learning disabilities but also the various developmental stages and needs of individuals throughout their lives.
Our approach involves helping service users build their confidence, particularly when they are exploring options like supported living. This model aims to provide them with greater independence and control over their lives. For instance, it allows them to have a say in their preferred level of care and the activities they wish to engage in, promoting a more personalized and empowering experience.
Physicals Disabilities
Physical disabilities can range from a complete or partial loss of bodily functions, such as sight or mobility, to the loss of a body part. These disabilities include, but are not limited to:
Amputation
Arthritis
Cerebral Palsy
Loss of upper limbs
Multiple Sclerosis
Muscular Dystrophy
Acquired Spinal Injury (such as paraplegia or quadriplegia)
Post-Polio Syndrome
Spina Bifida
Assisting individuals with physical disabilities is a core aspect of our mission. We firmly believe that everyone deserves the highest quality of life, and providing care goes beyond just meeting basic needs. It involves truly understanding and supporting both the individuals and their families, ensuring they have the information and resources needed to make informed decisions.
Our approach emphasizes empowerment and independence. We are committed to equipping our Health Care Assistants and Nurses with the skills and knowledge necessary to support service users in maintaining their autonomy. We do not advocate for our caregivers to perform tasks for service users to the extent that it diminishes their ability to do things independently. Instead, our goal is to make life easier for both service users and their families while fostering confidence and encouraging individuals to live life to its fullest.
